மௌனராகம் படத்தை நினனவுகூர்ந்து எழுதுறாங்க.

The movie tackles a subject that, funnily enough, still holds our culture and society in sway – that of arranged vs. love marriages. In a deeper level, the movie also deals with the difficulties involved in sustaining any relationship and the gentle strands of love that slowly bind people together; even without them realising it. It is an utterly romantic story and Mani has told it superbly. A must-see movie for any good movie buff.

Visiting Cambridge 

When I queried him, Jacques told us that it was there, in the front lawns, that a scene from the first Harry Potter movie was shot – precisely, the scene where Harry first learns to fly on a broom.

நிறய இடத்துல நிறய ரிப்போர்ட், கருத்துகள், வெறுப்புகள் வந்தாச்சு. கீழேயுள்ள ரெண்டு லைனும் அப்படியே ஒரு தொகுப்புரை-ன்னு சொல்லலாம்.

ஒரு கருத்துக் கணிப்பிற்காக இவ்வளவு கலவரமும் (பொதுச் சொத்துக்கு சேதம் விளைவித்தால் இப்பத்தான் கட்சி கப்பம் கட்ட வேண்டாமோ?) , உயிர்பலியும் தேவையா?. இவற்றால் சாத்தித்தது என்ன?., மக்கள் வெறுப்பைத் தவிர ஒன்றுமில்லை….

2000 பேரின் குரலாக 2 பேர் குரல் ஒலிப்பது கேலிக்குறியது… இதுவே பாசிசம்தான். பத்திரிக்கை சுதந்திரத்திற்காக… இந்தப் பிளக்கும் வேலையை அனுமதிக்கலாமா?.

பிரிட்டனில், எந்த ஒரு விசயமாக இருந்தாலும்  ”இருபக்கவாதமும் கண்டிப்பாக காட்டப்படவேண்டும்” என்று பத்திரிகைகளுக்குச் சட்டமிருக்கிறது. இது ஒரு நல்ல சட்டமென்று நினைக்கிறேன்.

அடி பாவி. இதுக்கா இந்த பில்ட் அப் தர? நீ மட்டும் ஆமா னு சொல்லு, நம்ம வழுக்கை மண்டை HOD ஐ மேல் மாடி லேருந்து தூக்கி போட்டிடுரேன். இதே மாதிரி ஒரு வசனம் எங்கயோ கேட்ட மாதிரி இருக்கே?
“எனக்கு அவனை பிடிச்சிருக்கு டா. ஆனா எப்படி சொல்றது னு தெரியல. எனக்கு ஹெல்ப் பண்ணுவியா டா?”
ஆஆஆஹஹஹ…..டமார். அடி பாவி. சாவடீச்சுட்டாளெ. நான் காதலன் ஆகலாம்னு நினைச்சேன். இப்படி மினசாரம் மாதிரி தாக்கி என் கனவை எல்லாம் பொசுக்கிட்டாளெ. இதுல இந்த Cupid வேலைய வேற நான் தான் பார்க்கணுமா? என்ன கொடுமை சரவணன் இது?

புதுப்பேட்டை – moview review

So anyway, the start of the movie, which I often refer to as the 5-10 minute pitch for watching the rest of the movie, was good. It kept you engaged and wanted you to carry on watching. I had forewarning that this was going to be a serious theme and I should not expect any comedy or usual chutney (tamil masala) in this one.

முழுக்கதையும் வேற சொல்றார்

Overall I would say, you are not likely to find anything new except some good performances from Sneha and Dhanush. I’d pass.

The blame game

I have seen lot of blogs where there is a tendency to blame the man for what the woman suffers. Yes, the man is to take some amount of blame for what women suffers, but by putting the entire blame only on the man I don’t think we are defining the problem completely. I would like to take another look at this blame game.

The woman is discriminated against, harassed, insulted, berated, and discouraged, by both men and women. By singly focusing on one enemy, that is the man, we are defining the problem statement wrongly.It is not ‘man vs. woman’, it is rather ‘society vs. woman’ and the society consists of both men and women.

பாவம் தீபா

If you have a cellphone and you keep it on a counter in a shop and leave without taking the cellphone, its carelessness. But if you put it in your pocket without realizing that its a “hole-y” pocket, its bad luck.

இத்தனை விசயம் நடக்குறதே ஒரு வருத்தமான விசயம். அதுக்குமேல நீதான் கேர்லெஸ்-னு பேருவேற சூட்டப்பட்டா இப்படித்தான் யாரையும் புலம்பவைக்கும்.

மதுரை: போலியான பல்கலைக்கழகத்தை நடத்தி அதன் மூலம் டாக்டர் பட்டங்களை விற்பனை செய்து வந்த முன்னாள் பேராசிரியரை போலீஸார் கைது செய்துள்ளனர். இவர் கொத்தனாருக்கும் எம்.டி. பட்டத்தை விற்றுள்ளது விசாரணையில் தெரிய வந்துள்ளது.

Farewell, Mother

Mom passed away peacefully about 2 hours ago. Her brain was too swollen and there was nothing to be done. We managed to transport her body back to our home before we pull the plug. I am sure she would want it this way.

Can’t believe it has already been 49 days since mom went away… since I last spoke to mom… since I last heard her voice… since I last tasted her delicious cooking… since I last had a mother
