தசாவதாரம் விமர்சனங்களை தேடிப் படித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தேன், அப்போது இந்த விமர்சனத்தைப் படித்தேன். இந்தப் பதிவின் முற்பகுதி சினிமாவின் அனுகுமுறையை (cinematic technique) பிரித்தாய்ந்து எழுதியிருந்தது. படிப்பதற்குச் சுவையாக இருந்ததால் அதற்கான சுட்டியைத் தருகிறேன்.
பொதுவாக சினிமா என்பது இயக்குநரின் பார்வையில் விரிவது. இதில் பார்வையாளனின் பங்கு என்பது இயக்குநரின் பார்வை வழியே மட்டுமே பயணிக்க நிர்பந்திக்கப்படுவது. ஒரு பரந்த நிலப்பரப்பில் எந்த இடத்தை பார்க்க வேண்டும் என்பதை காமிரா கோணங்களே தீர்மானிக்கின்றன. மேலே படிக்க >>

அவ்யுக்தா
கமல்ஹாசன் ஒரு பேட்டியில் “ஒரு படத்தை உங்களிடம் கொண்டு சேர்ப்பது கலைஞர்களுக்கு பிரசவ வேதனை போன்றது” என்று சொல்லியிருப்பார். இரண்டு வருடங்களாகக் காத்திருக்கும் இரசிகனுக்கும் அது பிரசவ வேதனை போன்றதுதான்.
இன்று பிரசவமாகிவிட்டது. சந்தோஷச் சமாச்சாரம் என்னவென்றால், குழந்தை நல்ல திடகாத்திரமாக, ஆரோக்கியமாக இருக்கிறது. தாயும் சேயும் நலமாக இருக்கிறார்கள்.
ரஜினி ரசிகரா இருப்பாரோ இந்த கழுகுவிழிப்பார்வைக்காரர்?

Dasaavathaaram is proof that Kamalhassan has learnt his lessons well from films like Hey Ram! and Aalavandhaan. Like those films, it is ambitious and self-indulgent but those qualities are limited to behind-the-screen aspects like make-up and special effects. Onscreen, it has a very massy sensibility, revealed in its flimsy story, frenetic screenplay and overall light tone.

Today morning I received a call from my spouse, alerting me that there was a movie Children of Heaven (Bacheha-Ye Aseman) being telecast on Vijay TV at 2.00pm. I don’t usually get such alerts - so I thought that it must be something special and bunked office. It was well worth it - I dont know what genre of films it belongs to, but it was certainly charming and many a time brought a catch to my throat. The children who acted were adorable. I strongly recommend seeing it.
It is an Iranian movie directed by Majid Majidi and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1998; It lost out to the Italian film, Life is Beautiful.

The children who acted were adorable. I strongly recommend seeing it. If you cant get a DVD you can see the entire movie on YouTube put up by hotviveks.
