Lord Black convicted

Media tycoon Conrad Black has been convicted of three charges of fraud and one of obstructing justice.

Black, 62, was cleared of racketeering and tax evasion but could face 35 years in jail when sentenced on 30 November. His lawyers said he would appeal.

The Lockerby case reopened

Lockerby is a quiet and beautiful village near the Scotland – England border. A nice lady runs a B&B there and a very nice modern(?!) restaurant nearby serves wonderful food. (my recos).

It has a history too (no, we didn’t go there to visit this historic(?!) site).

Will we ever know who was behind the Lockerbie bombing?

Paedophile network smashed

Cox, of Buxhall, Suffolk, ran a website enabling the exchange of abuse images.

……was handed an indeterminate sentence at Ipswich Crown Court.

Under the terms of his sentence, he must satisfy the authorities that he is fit for release and does not pose any threat to the community before he can ever be set free.

In total, 31 children were saved as a result of the investigation, CEOP said.

காணாமல் போன சின்னஞ்சிறுசுகள்

இந்தியாவில் ஒரு வருடத்திற்கு சராசரியாக 44,476 குழந்தைகள் ( ஒரு நாளைக்கு 122 ) காணாமல் போவதாகவும் இதில் 15,407 குழந்தைகள் ஆறு பெரிய நகரங்களில் இருந்துமட்டும் எனவும் அதிலும் 11,008 குழந்தைகள் திரும்பக்கிடைக்காதவர்கள் எனவும் இந்த செய்தி சொல்கிறது.
