உலகமயமாகிவிட்ட இந்த உலகில் இளம் வயது அனுபவங்களை கவிதையாய் வடித்திருக்கும் இந்தப்பதிவைப் பார்த்ததில் அளவில்லா மகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்தேன்.

PS: Doubly happy to know that she is a grand niece of Dr V.
PPS: I remember reading an essay by a grand niece of Dr V in the late 80s / early 90s about relocating from the US to India. I wonder if it was by the same person.

எல்லோரும் “sweet nothings” பத்தி கேள்விப்பட்டிருக்கோம், ஆனா “bitter nothings“? படிச்சுப்பாருங்க ஒன்னும் புதுசல்ல.

Husband: I am sorry ok? Forgive me.

Wife: I will never forgive you for what you said.

H: I’m saying sorry right?

W: So?

H: Just say I am forgiven.

W: OK you are forgiven.

H: You did nt mean that!

W: How do you know? You asked me to say it and I said it.

H: Mean it.

When I was born to this world, my parents were remarkably unexcited. I draw this painful conclusion from the fact that they did not even bother to come up with a name for me and when they finally did, they chose what will one day undoubtedly qualify as a common noun since every second person I met in school was my namesake.

இராமன் எப்பவும் ஏதாவது ஒரு புது கண்ணோட்டத்துல ஒரு விஷயத்தைப் பார்ப்பார். இந்த முறையும் என்னமோ புதுசாச் சொல்றார், ஆனா அது என்னனு எனக்குப் புரியல. காதல் வயப்பட்ட காரணமோ?

Mom said that arranged marriages are for people who want a change in their life and love marriages for people who dont wanna change much. Quite a debatable statement but personnally for me, quite an enlightening one. What mom said made a world of sense in my case.

நாங்களும் கிட்டதட்ட அதே கேஸ் தான். I remember lending a favourite book of mine to a friend, sorry, fiend, which never came back. I googled for the book and was lucky to get it as a pdf!

நான் பறிகொடுத்த பத்தகம் – Barankin’s Fantasy World – Dont brush it aside as a childish book, it is fantastic!
