சினிமா – ஒரு வித்தியாசமான பிரித்தாய்வு

தசாவதாரம் விமர்சனங்களை தேடிப் படித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தேன், அப்போது இந்த விமர்சனத்தைப் படித்தேன். இந்தப் பதிவின் முற்பகுதி சினிமாவின் அனுகுமுறையை (cinematic technique) பிரித்தாய்ந்து எழுதியிருந்தது. படிப்பதற்குச் சுவையாக இருந்ததால் அதற்கான சுட்டியைத் தருகிறேன்.

பொதுவாக சினிமா என்பது இயக்குநரின் பார்வையில் விரிவது. இதில் பார்வையாளனின் பங்கு என்பது இயக்குநரின் பார்வை வழியே மட்டுமே பயணிக்க நிர்பந்திக்கப்படுவது. ஒரு பரந்த நிலப்பரப்பில் எந்த இடத்தை பார்க்க வேண்டும் என்பதை காமிரா கோணங்களே தீர்மானிக்கின்றன. மேலே படிக்க >>

Chidren of Heaven

Today morning I received a call from my spouse, alerting me that there was a movie Children of Heaven (Bacheha-Ye Aseman) being telecast on Vijay TV at 2.00pm. I don’t usually get such alerts – so I thought that it must be something special and bunked office. It was well worth it – I dont know what genre of films it belongs to, but it was certainly charming and many a time brought a catch to my throat. The children who acted were adorable. I strongly recommend seeing it.

It is an Iranian movie directed by Majid Majidi and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1998; It lost out to the Italian film, Life is Beautiful.

திரைப்படம் எடுக்கனும்னு எனக்கும் ஆசைதான் – ஆனா வாய்ப்பு எங்க கிடக்குது?
இதோ வந்துவிட்டது – அதுவும் ஹாலிவுட்ல; நம்ம அஷோக்கு தான் தர்றாருங்க – அதான் அஷோக் அமிர்தராஜ் தானுங்க.

அவரும், சோனி பிக்ஸ் (Sony PIX) ம் இணைந்து ‘கேட்வே’னு ஒரு ரியாலிட்டி ஷோ மூலமா ஒரு திரைப்பட இயக்குனரை தேர்வு செஞ்சு, அவருக்கு ஹாலிவுட் படம் இயக்க வாய்ப்பு தர்றாங்க.

இந்த விபரத்தை எனக்கு ‘தெரிஞ்சவங்க’ அவருடைய வலைப்பூவில போட்டிருந்தார். நான் அதைப் பார்க்கும் போது போட்டி முடிஞ்சிடுச்சு. ச்சே நம்ம நேரம். 😦

ஹாரி பாட்டர் மாதம்.

ஹாரி பாட்டர் கடைசி புத்தகம் 21ம் தேதி ரிலீஸ். நேற்று Order of the Phoenix படம் ரிலீஸ். ஒரே கொண்டாட்டம் தான். படம் சூப்பர்னு தான் சொல்றாங்க. பரத்வாஜ்ரங்கனுடைய விமர்சனம் படிக்கவே சூப்பரா இருக்கு. ஒரு விசிறின்னு சொல்லிக்கவும் அவர மாதிரி ஒரு தகுதி வேணும் போங்க! 🙂

The marvel of the fifth film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, is that its director, David Yates, takes his cues from both Cuarón and Newell, so we get a movie that plays like one long montage of our recollections from the book – in other words, this one too is modelled after a Pensieve, racing through the plot, and stopping to breathe only at a few, key moments, like the one between Harry and his godfather Sirius Black (a very touching Gary Oldman) – but it’s also brave enough to depart from Rowling’s prose to ensure a piece of cinema first, an adaptation only later.

Sorcerer’s Stone was published in 1997.
